2021-2022 Safe Routes to School Grant

Scots eBikes Club Awarded $2,000 in Grant Funds!!

San Mateo County schools are eligible to apply for the $9,000 Safe Routes to School Grant. If awarded, these funds will be used for developing sustainable commuting methods in school communities.

The Scots eBikes team applied for the maximum $9,000 award they could receive for a non-infrastructure application. We are looking to work with the Sequoia Union High School District to gain the full $50,000 maximum award. If our project is sufficiently funded, our program can help make a positive impact in the way people commute to school sustainably.

The Scots eBikes team was awarded $2,000 from San Mateo County through the Safe Routes to School Grant. While not the full amount, the award serves to validate the eBikes team's mission and reflects the growing recognition that widescale implementation of projects similar to the eBikes program is key to a sustainable future.
